PCU for proper implementation of the project.

v.   PIU- MSAMB has also been set up in MSAMB for the administrative convenience.

vi.  All the concerned Line Departments have their Project Implementation Units (PIUs) which functions under respective  Commissioner/Director. The Nodal Officer, nominated by the line department concerned keeps the  liaison with PCU, and  functions as the Member Secretary of the PIU.

vii. The PCU and all the PIUs will constantly interact with regard to the progress in implementation of the project, difficulties faced if any, funds required and released, etc. and they will report to the PCU and the Steering Committee periodically (quarterly).

ix.  The PIUs shall maintain separate accounts of funds received & released / utilized under MACP and submit returns of the same to the PCU every month.

x.   The PIU (Agri)  will constantly keep in touch with ATMA at the district level and get implemented the programs pertaining to the training and capacity building as envisaged under the project.

xi.  All the beneficiary organizations, institutions, identified, will ultimately implement the project activities. However, there will be a close supervision and monitoring by the PIUs and PCU on this implementation.

xii. Detailed Management & Implementation Plan with time line and budget provisions for each component shall be prepared and care will be taken by all the concerned PIUs that, these plans are implemented without deviation.

MACP Design Features:

i.    The Project design is based on the community need .

ii.   The various programs and activities proposed in the project are identified keeping in view the existing status in the particular area and the possible improvement to move agriculture at an advanced stage by improving productivity, quality, efficiency and employment.

iii.  Design of the project clearly depicts the integrated approach from farm level to the highest ladder of agricultural marketing say spot/ futuristic
