d. To promote SMS service through various functionaries in the field of agricultural extension and agricultural marketing for better services to the farmers.

e. Effective dissemination of price and other necessary information using electronic media like LCD TV within the regulated markets.

f.  To improve agricultural marketing system by providing web based e-trading platform through Virtual Markets in the State.

A. 4 Livestock Support Services

a. Support will be provided to the Small Ruminant Farmers for the formation of the federation for conducting first aid, health care/ disease prevention, cultivation of high yielding fodder crops and organised marketing of live animals for breeding / meat purposes. 

b. Demonstration, Cum Production Unit will be set up where farmers will be encouraged to promote goat as a high value enterprise.

COMPONENT B : IMPROVING FARMER ACCESS TO MARKETS

B.1: Promoting Alternative Markets

B. 1.1 Product Aggregation through Farmer Groups / Farmer Service   Centres:

a. Under this subcomponent Modern infrastructure is proposed to be provided at Producers organisations/associations which include small common pack house, provision of plastic crates, grading & packing tables, need based agricultural equipments etc. for farmer common service centre (fruits & vegetables). Similarly, for Farmers Common Service Centre (foodgrains) food grain cleaning machine and drying yard is proposed in the project. Total of 400 FCSCs will be formed and assisted under the project.

               B. 1.2  Warehouse Receipts Development:

a. This sub-component aims to improve the access of finance by the farmers against agricultural produce stored at accredited warehouses of Maharashtra State Warehouse Corporation (MSWC) and at the godowns of the APMCs and create an alternative marketing channel through electronic spot exchanges for farmers. 

               B. 1.3 Rural Haat Markets

a. Presently, there are no infrastructural
